Pillbugs are painfully shy, and love to spend hours and hours drawing pictures or just laying on their backs and pretending the ceiling is the floor. 

If you pick up a rock and find one, they'll blush so hard they roll up into a ball.  But once they get to know you they're really affectionate and love to have their ears tickled - if you can find them.

Each pillbug is knit by hand at a worker-owned cooperative in Ecuador.  They are made of 100% Peruvian wool.  Because they're handmade, each one is a little bit different.  They're about 6 inches wide when they're curled into a ball, and 10 inches long stretched out.  Because the eyes might come off with rough play, these toys are not intended for children under three.
